Plesiosaur vertebrae are numbers 1 through 3. The others are rib fragments from a plesiosaur. All seem to be from the genus Trinacromerum, a short necked pliosaur. On all the drawings I have done the bar scales are always equal to 2cm.
Three kinds of specialized ribs found on plesiosaurs. They are Caudal, from the tail, Sacral, from the hip area, and cervical, or from the neck.
One of my series drawings: This one is of five views of the only skull bone we have located to date, the basioccipital. This is the bone that attaches the head to the vertebral column.
